Volunteer Mentors and Coaches Needed for FIRST® LEGO® League (ages 9-14).
Non-Technical (no robotics/engineering experience necessary) and Technical Roles Available, starting immediately:
FIRST® LEGO® League is built around theme-based challenges to engage children ages 9 to 14 in research, problem solving, coding, and engineering. The foundation of the program is the FIRST® Core Values, which emphasize teamwork, discovery, and innovation. Students emerge more confident, excited, and equipped with the skills they need in a changing workforce.
Mentors and Coaches are individuals from all backgrounds and disciplines who work with students to share their knowledge and guide them through the season. Many teams meet on a weekly basis during the program season. More information on FIRST® Programs at www.firstinspires.org

Job Description Coach/Mentor:
■ Help the team set realistic goals
■ Facilitate meetings and help the team to coordinate the work
■ Relay all aspects of FIRST LEGO League guidelines and rules to the team, other Coaches, Volunteers and parents
■ Desire to work with children 9-14
■ The season can vary, but typically runs from August - January.
