Who We Are
The Linn County Extension Council, county staff and ISU Extension and Outreach staff work together to provide research-based learning opportunities for our citizens. Through this partnership, we carry Iowa State University’s land-grant mission across Linn County.
What We Do
The Linn County Extension Office is a product of a cooperative partnership between Iowa State University (ISU), Linn County, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. We’ve been around since 1915. In concert with ISU Extension and Outreach, the goal of Linn County Extension is to create a Strong Iowa where people, families and communities can develop their talents and capabilities. We achieve this goal by providing education and partnerships designed to solve today’s problems and to help people prepare for the future.
