Communication

All general volunteer communications are sent via email – this includes volunteer sign-ups, updates, announcements, and training opportunities. These digital tools may require volunteers to create an account. The ability to use a computer for scheduling, email communication, and continued training purposes is preferred. Please contact the Program and Outreach Manager to discuss accommodations as needed.

If there is a need to postpone or cancel a volunteer shift (such as in the case of inclement weather), a member of Brucemore staff will contact scheduled volunteers at least an hour before the scheduled start time. Brucemore staff will first attempt to contact volunteers at the phone number on file. If staff are unable to leave a voicemail or reach a volunteer at that number, an email will be sent to the email address on file.

Training Requirements
Training for this position will be provided the day of the event by staff and will vary depending on the volunteer’s role. Training may include parking practices/strategies, check-in and ticket taking practices, basic site wayfinding, and venue ushering.
