Join us Monday, June 5th at 6:00 PM at the Feed Iowa First Shop for a Monday Night Shop Volunteer Training. This will be a training session focused on new volunteers, but previous volunteers are more than welcome to attend for a refresher.
Feed Iowa First manages 28 fields across Cedar Rapids plus three acres on the Dows Project. Tasks on Monday nights will vary according to season. During the summer duties include washing and prepping vegetables to go out for community distribution, tending gardens on the SE side, harvesting, washing bins, and getting everything in order for the week! We have tasks for those who cannot lift too!
Details:
- Volunteer once or every Monday!
- Kids are welcome to volunteer with adults
- No experience necessary
- No need to sign up but a wavier will need to be signed that night at the shop (Digital version here https://form.jotform.com/231353900584050. Also attached if you want to print it out)
- Parking: Street park.
- Bring gloves (if you want)
