Election heroes make our elections possible!! They are your neighbors, coworkers, and peers who are responsible for running local election offices and administering a smooth voting process on Election Day. Sign-up for a shift to write thank you cards and assemble thank you bags on Friday, October 28. Two-hour shifts at 10am and 12pm are available.
United We Vote
Every voice counts. Every vote has power. Every election matters.
When more Americans participate in elections, our communities are stronger, healthier, and more resilient. That’s why United Way of East Central Iowa and our Women United Advocacy Committee are calling on our supporters to take part in United We Vote.
United Way of East Central Iowa unites the caring power of communities and advocates for healthcare & critical safety net services, childcare, and safe & affordable housing. To build an equitable community where everyone has fair and equal access to these opportunities, we know that everyone must have a voice in government which plays a significant role in health and human services development and delivery.
Our United We Vote campaign will focus on
- Registering people to vote
- Helping vulnerable individuals plan to vote
- Thanking election officials on Election Day
