We want to help our surrounding community in light of this past week’s devastating Derecho storm! This Sunday (August 23), INSTEAD OF REGULAR WORSHIP SERVICES, we will be loving on our neighbors in Cedar Rapids by cleaning up storm debris from people’s homes, distributing grocery gift cards, and serving a meal at the park.
We’d love for you to join us! We’ll be meeting at 9 a.m. at Green Square in Cedar Rapids (on 5th St SE between 3rd & 4th Ave) to split into teams:

Cleanup Crews (teams of four with a chainsaw to clean up mostly tree debris from people’s yards)

Grocery Card Crews (teams of 3-4 to connect with people and hand out gift cards as needed)

BBQ Crew (to prepare and serve a meal to our teams and guests at the park)
