- Transitioning our 10-week season to an 8-week season (September 14-November 8).
- Flexible programming that can quickly and easily shift to be completely virtual, if needed.
- Safety and social distancing policies will be implemented, including providing teams with hand sanitizer and masks.
- There will be a maximum of 12 girls per team.
- Adding additional coach training in COVID safety policies and virtual meeting space safety policies.
- Can be both women and men
- Are parents, teachers, school administrators, college students and other community members
- Are committed to developing and celebrating our girls
- Do not have to be runners!
- Head coach must be a woman
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must consent to and complete a background check
- Attend Girls on the Run coach training
- Attend all (two) practices per week for a weekly time commitment of approximately 4 hours
- Have fun!
- Serve as a role model for program participants
- Prepare, organize and supervise weekly lessons
- Collaborate with other coaches for successful lesson delivery
- Facilitate communication with parents/guardians of program participants
- Participate in the Girls on the Run 5K
- Plan and coordinate your team’s end of season party
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must consent to and complete a background check
- Attend Girls on the Run coach training
- Able to attend practices once or twice per week
- Have fun!
- Serve as a role model for program participants
- Assist with all aspects of the facilitation of weekly lessons
- Collaborate with other coaches for successful lesson delivery
- Participate in games and workouts with the girls
- Participate in the Girls on the Run 5K
