Overview

Juneteenth is the commemorative name of the June 19, 1865 official end of slavery in the United States. The African American Museum of Iowa recognizes this anniversary through educational and celebratory programming each year. This highly anticipated festival will host a variety of activities to include: live music and performances, local nonprofit and business organizations, food and merchandise vendors, family-friendly activities, and an educational display.

  • Assisting during the contests and the talent show
