DESCRIPTION: Assist in delivering educational programs, primarily at times K-12 students are not in school (afterschool programs, day camps, workshops, etc.).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Embraces the spirit of 4-H and assists in creating an environment that aligns with positive youth development.
- Assist with delivery of 4-H and Extension research-based curricula.
- Help engage children and youth in experiential, inquiry based learning.
- Assist with set-up and facilitation (equipment, materials, etc.) of program.
- Deliver programming in collaboration with 4-H staff and/or independently.
- Maintain regular contact and communication with 4-H staff.
NECESSARY SKILLS:
- Ability to provide positive reinforcement for youth.
- Desire to help youth succeed and participate in age appropriate activities.
- Knowledge, expertise or training in the curriculum topic (if needed/leading).
