

Who We Are
Amani Community Services is a domestic violence and sexual assault agency providing culturally specific services to African Americans but will help any survivor in need. Amani Community Services was started by three African Americans who saw the need for a culturally specific agency for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault within their community. Within a year, Amani Community Services opened its doors in July 2014. First in Waterloo serving Black Hawk county and a later in Cedar Rapids serving Linn county.
Amani Community Services is now providing services to survivors across the state of Iowa.
What We Do
Since opening our doors, Amani Community Services has helped over 600 clients. Amani CS provides the following services; individual and group counseling, personal and legal advocacy, children programing, outreach services, prevention services and information and referrals.
All of our services are free and confidential.
