The Arc of East Central Iowa

Who We Are

Service, advocacy, inclusion, family and community are what The Arc of East Central Iowa is all about. The Arc offers multiple programs and services including Respite, Supported Community Living, and Daycare in seven counties in Iowa. We deliver high quality programs that produce results. More importantly, we are improving the quality of life for individuals and families affected by intellectual and developmental disabilities. We believe in building better lives for people with disabilities and their families. | The Arc of East Central Iowa started in 1953 when families came together to gain services for their children who were affected by cognitive disabilities. Since our inception, we have worked closely with families in the community. Today, The Arc provides advocacy and service to thousands of individuals and families in east central Iowa.

What We Do

The Arc of East Central Iowa serves our community by providing advocacy and services which help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families to choose and realize their goals in life. We work to reduce the incidence of disabilities through education and public awareness.
