Who We Are
There are seven elementary schools, two intermediate schools, two middle schools and one high school in the Linn-Mar District. Close to 1,000 staff members serve the educational needs of more than 7,000 students. Whether teaching, leading, busing or cooking, Linn-Mar staff are dedicated to the quality of the educational experience for all students.
The Linn-Mar Community School District includes the northern part of the city of Marion, an area in Cedar Rapids, part of the city of Robins and rural areas in Linn County, both south and north of the city of Marion.
What We Do
Volunteers are an integral part to the success of our school community. They provide an average of 18,000 hours of service each year! Linn-Mar volunteers offer support for students and staff by helping to increase the time for student learning. Volunteers help prepare learning materials, offer student support during the school day, and work with students in the classroom. Volunteer Workshops are held monthly in our K-4 schools to prepare learning materials. Their kind, caring and supportive efforts puts the "community" in Linn-Mar Community Schools.
