Who We Are

The Cedar Rapids Museum of Art (CRMA) offers visitors the chance to experience 2,000 years of art in the heart of downtown Cedar Rapids. From Roman busts to American landscape paintings to contemporary art and craft, visitors can experience an ever-changing selection of the Museum's permanent collection which includes more than 8,000 works of art. The CRMA is also home to the world's largest collection of works by Regionalist artist Grant Wood, who lived and worked in Cedar Rapids for most of his life. In addition, the Museum offers exciting and thought-provoking temporary exhibitions throughout the year. There's something for everyone at the CRMA!

The Cedar Rapids Museum of Art also owns and operates the Grant Wood Studio (located just a few blocks from the Museum.) This historic property is where world-renowned artist Grant Wood lived and worked from 1924 to 1934, when he painted some of his most popular works of art. The Studio is open to the public for guided tours.
