Who We Are

Access 2 Independence is a Center for Independent Living, which is a non-profit, non-residential community-based organization run by and for people with disabilities. Access 2 Independence is a consumer controlled organization and provides direct support services in the five core areas of advocacy, information and referral, peer counseling, transition and independent skills training. Our mission is to empower individuals with disabilities to advocate for themselves in order to achieve greater independence and integrated community participation. |We primarily serve Benton, Cedar, Henry, Iowa, Johnson, Jones, Linn, and Washington counties.

What We Do

Our mission is to empower individuals with disabilities throughout the Eastern Iowa Corridor through education, advocacy, and peer support, so that they may achieve greater independence and integrated community participation. Vision: We envision a world without barriers, where every individual has the freedom to control the direction and quality of their life.
