Who We Are
EIAA Mission To create inspiring arts opportunities for life. EIAA Vision We promise to ignite passion and build community through the exploration of visual and performing arts. The EIAA is in its 15th year serving the children of Eastern Iowa, founded by musician and teacher David Griffin. Over the years the Academy has served thousands of children every year in the Cedar Rapids and College Community Schools as well as on our campus at the Music and Arts Studios and Studio 17.
What We Do
The Eastern Iowa Arts Academy is a non profit in Cedar Rapids that makes the arts accessible to children without financial barriers. We offer classes, lessons, supplies and instruments to kids K-12th grade, supporting local artists who we hire as directors and teachers. We also offer adult classes which help fund financial aid for children in need. The EIAA is also home to 8 youth rock bands who perform all summer throughout the area.
