Do you like to talk on the phone? Are you accurate and detailed?  

WRAP is dedicated to providing freedom to individuals who are homebound due to mobility issues. To document our clients' perspective and continuously improve our processes, we are looking for detail-oriented volunteers to administer our post-build survey.

Responsibilities:

WRAP's Client Experience Specialist will chat with clients after their project is completed to administer a short Customer Satisfaction Survey. 

Fifteen questions take less than 10 minutes to complete, and the data you gather helps WRAP improve its processes and performance.  

Qualifications:

Skills needed include the ability to talk on the phone, gather and record clients responses to questions and record data. 

Email communication skills and basic MS Office are a plus.

JA Finance Park® Mobile is a 3-4-hour immersive experience for middle school students. During the simulation, students will be assigned a hypothetical life scenario, including a career, spouse, children, and pets. Throughout the simulation, they will ‘research’ different budget categories through a series of volunteer-led group discussions and activities, and will create a budget based on their household income and needs. Then, they will shop through their budget to see how their ideal finances measure up to real world costs. Volunteers support small groups of students (4-7) as they create, edit, and shop through their budgets. All discussion and activity materials are provided, and volunteers can share their real world experiences to help students understand different financial commitments they will have as they grow up. Volunteer orientation is provided morning of the simulation, and no previous expertise is required

This group meets weekly to prepare materials for the schools and nursing homes, make pillows for cancer treatment patients, and a number of other community based activities.  

Drivers are needed to transport people in the community to medical facilities for various medical appointments. The Benton County Volunteer Center provides medical transportation assistance for people who cannot drive, do not have family or friends available to drive, or cannot afford transportation to medical appointments. Clients are usually sixty years of age or older. Volunteer drivers give their time but receive mileage reimbursement.

Volunteers must successfully complete a background check, posses a valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and a willingness to go through volunteer medical transportation assistance training if required.

We need volunteers who will help us reach our number one goal of making sure each patient gets the best care and support they need to make every moment of life count. You will be providing a break for family caregivers as well.

Patient Visitor Volunteer: Provides a range of companionship and support to patients and caregivers at the bedside. 

Veteran Volunteer: No one understands the unique needs of our Veterans better than active or retired military personnel.

Become a wish granter from any county in the state of Iowa to create hope, strength, and joy for children with critical illnesses.

You will be partnered with a wish granter to meet with wish kids and their families to brainstorm ideas and help determine their wish. While Make-A-Wish Iowa staff is making these wishes a reality, wish granters will provide personalized items to celebrate the wish. Once wish planning is completed by Make-A-Wish Iowa staff, volunteers will help celebrate the child and the wish being granted.

The treasure is an integral part of the non profit organization. This position is remote with flexible hours.

The treasurer is in charge of overseeing the non-profit’s finances. This can include maintaining financial records, check signing, approving expenditures, and preparation/review of financial reports. The Treasurer presents the financial reports to the rest of the board on a regular basis.

His/her principle duties are to:
• Oversee the development of high level financial policies and their review by the board
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and its presentation to the board for review
• Ensure that the appropriate monthly or quarterly financial statements are reviewed by the
board
• Ensure that the board regularly monitors the organization’s financial performance and
alerts it to any important discrepancies between planned and actual figures
• Ensure that the organization maintains the appropriate financial books and records and that
these are accurate and up-to-date
• Ensure that government tax filings and remittances are submitted on a timely basis
• Ensure that payroll and other liabilities are settled in a timely manner

Vinton-Shellsburg Community Schools are looking for adult role models who can help set a positive example for students by providing support, friendship and encouragement. Mentors are matched with students based on their needs and common interests. As a mentor you will be asked to have weekly meetings during the school day for the school year.
