Volunteer: Drive cancer patients to their treatment

Become a volunteer driver with the American Cancer Society Road To Recovery program and provide rides as requested from cancer patients to and from their cancer treatments. Most rides take place during the hours of 7AM-6PM, Monday through Friday. The frequency of requests and times vary daily depending on how many patients need a ride at any given time. Every volunteer driver donates their time and gas - and can decide how often to provide rides, when, and how far! This is a very flexible and meaningful program - which can be lifesaving for cancer patients who have no other transportation options.

Volunteer drivers must have:

* A current, valid driver’s license and between the ages of 18-84
* A good driving record
* Access to a safe and reliable vehicle
* Proof of adequate automobile insurance

Every volunteer must clear a background check and take an online training to help prepare them for their new role. To learn more visit cancer.org/drive or call 1-800-227-2345!
