You will provide pleasant first and last impressions to all who come to the clinic and be a safety net by screening for health concerns. 

To facilitate communication between parties who speak two different languages: patient and provider.  To do this by interpreting, translating and re-communicating both verbal and written messages from one language into another. 

Looking for a person or persons that would do a weekly cleaning at the clinic.

This would include vacuuming, dusting, gathering trash, wiping down the bathrooms, etc. 

The hours and day of the week are somewhat flexible.  The best days would be Wednesdays after 2 pm and Fridays between 9-1.  

This position requires proficient computer and spreadsheet skills. Volunteer will enter data provided by the clinic into computer files. Most work done at the clinic. May be some opportunities for working from home.

This position requires someone with a good attention to detail, ability to multi-task and follow directions,and various clerical skills. They may file patient charts, make copies of medical forms, work on mass mailings. and various other office projects. They will work under the direction of the office coordinator.

This position requires a person with an ability to sort and organize items into a logical and user friendly way. This may involve organizing an office space, supplies, donated items.

This position involves shopping for items, picking up print orders,etc. and making deliveries deliveries for the clinic as directed by office manager. Must have own vehicle with valid drivers license and car insurance.

This person is possesses the skills required to do various minor repairs, move furniture, hang items on walls, paint, electrical and plumbing repairs when needed. It is helpful if they have access to a truck and tools.

This position involves greeting patients with a friendly welcome when they arrive, checking them in, preparing patient charts, and answering phones. Must have good communication skills, legible handwriting, able to multi-task and prioritize needs.

This volunteer position involves meeting with patients while at the clinic to offer prayer and spiritual resources to those who have an interest in spiritual well being. Must be a committed Christian.

Many individuals in the eastern Iowa community cannot afford to go to a dentist His Hands installed a BRAND NEW, two-operatory dental unit in February 2012. We currently have over 100 names on our wait list. Over 50% of those waiting for care report agonizing dental pain. YOU CAN HELP. Dentists volunteering for 3 hours, once a month, can assist up to 48 patients a year. Those are patients who would otherwise have no access to dental care. Hygiene is vital for ongoing dental health. After our clients see the dentist and get the necessary dental work completed, they need to be able to have regular cleanings. THAT'S WHERE YOU COME IN!! Volunteering is easy and fun. Our operatories contain new equipment, are well-maintained, and are fully digital. We are need of volunteers to assist providers in filling prescriptions There is a specific need for licensed pharmacy technicians Duties include: Count and label medications under the direction of a provider, check medication expiration date and dispose of medications according to instructions | We are looking for experienced pharmacy technicians, experienced MAs, or those who are currently a pre-med or nursing student You must have legible handwriting and be able to multi-task and prioritize items

His Hands maintains a sample room from which we dispense medication to the patients we see at the clinic and those who cannot afford a traditional pharmacy We need pharmacists to help us! Volunteer pharmacists assist the medical providers in locating and prescribing medications, count out pills, give patients any drug-specific information, and oversee the pharmacy during their volunteering times Clinics can be fast-paced, energetic, and are always interesting Every day is different!
