Advocacy. Get Involved. Stay Informed. Join the Grassroots, Election and Advocacy Team (GREAT) - As volunteers you will be partnered with AARP staff to influence important State and Federal legislative issues impacting health, financial security and protection from consumer fraud. This is an ongoing time commitment that if flexible and will take up 1-2 hours per month. We are looking for volunteers that are able to communicate effectively and have interest in being an advocate on issues supporting the 50+. While the Iowa State Office for AARP is based out of Des Moines we have volunteer opportunities for people statewide, including your local community
