This is the perfect way for someone to get involved who doesn’t have any extra time to give. Add trash bags (either 10 or 55 gallons) to your list and pick them up when you’re out shopping. You can drop them off to Willis Dady when you’re already out and about. Do your shopping online instead? Have them shipped to the shelter!
Why trash bags?
Just like any home, our shelter goes through a lot of trash bags. The 10 gallon trash cans are found around our shelter and in individual offices. 55 gallon trash cans are in our client kitchens. However, not many donors think of bringing in trash bags, so we find ourselves having to buy them ourselves. This takes away money that could be used for things like housing deposits or replacing a lost ID. We need donors like you to help with this high-need item!
Key responsibilities include:
- Meet with our Volunteer Coordinator to learn about Willis Dady’s ongoing needs.
- Commit to purchasing paper towels to donate to Willis Dady on a regular basis.
- Purchase or have the donation shipped to Willis Dady.
