PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Provide administrative support to the Tanager Place School Based Services program.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
This position is directly accountable to Maggie Hartzler, Freedom Schools Program Administrator & School Based Supervisor. Between 6-8 hours of support each week of the program in needed, but the schedule can be flexible and vary.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Administrative skills such as filing, typing and organizing are necessary. Must fill out volunteer application and pass background screening.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to work with Microsoft office products.
- Comfortable conducting Internet searches.
- Create and maintain files and tracking information for program participants.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITY TO THE CHILDREN AND AGENCY:
- Perform all volunteer duties with dedication and responsibility.
- Share suggestions, concerns and/or questions with the program team.
- Be willing to grow and learn with volunteer responsibilities.
- Work with an attitude of open-mindedness.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety and health regulatory requirements.
- Understand consumer service concepts and initiatives. Demonstrate these skills on a regular basis with both internal and external consumers.
- Wear identification badge while on campus, in office buildings and in the community when appropriate.
