Purpose: Welcome visitors to the museum at the elevator entrance. This first friendly impression is one of the most important part of the visitors's experience and our volunteers say it is a very rewarding role.
Events Help:
- Direct visitors from the elevator to where the event is held. Also keep an ongoing count of people if asked for this task.
- Ensure that all visitors have the necessary tickets- sometimes we have a check list with people who pre-register to be checked off.
- Inform visitors of museum activities- upcoming things going on may inspire a membership for someone:)
- Answer visitor questions as needed
- Be willing to set up chairs and take down chairs after an event.
- Learn about museum emergency policy if ever needed.
Qualification:
- Must be outgoing, have a friendly demeanor and a smile!
- Enjoy talking with the public
Commitment required: 3-4 hours / shift, we will work with your schedule!
