The Horizons 5k, powered by FSB, is an inaugural event that we are thrilled to introduce to our community! This is a fun, non-competitive run and is open to the public. All ages are welcome to run, walk, scoot, skate, or skip on the scenic course through downtown Marion, Iowa.
To facilitate this event, we need a group of amazing volunteers! Sign up as a team or as an individual and help make this a fun and well-run race. Please note the shift times for each volunteer role when signing up. You can sign up for more than one volunteer position if there is no time overlap.
Race Schedule: 9:30am - 11:30am
Event Set Up: 7am – 9am (4 volunteers)
During the Event, shift end time is dependent on when the race ends but should be before 11 am
- 8:30am – 10am Check-In Tables (5 volunteers)
- 8:30am – 11am Nutrition Tables (5 volunteers) and Water Stops (4 volunteers)
- 9am – 11am Direct Runners on the Route (3 volunteers)
Event Clean Up: 11am – 12pm (4 volunteers)
