Volunteer: Treasures Quality Resale Shoppe Volunteer

Treasures is a quality second hand resale shop open to the public, not just for Bridgehaven clients.  Shopping at Treasures directly supports Bridgehaven Pregnancy Support Center. We accept donations of clothes, accessories, some furniture, and household items. We have a generous community and the influx of items is a steady stream that sometimes rises to a gush.  Our volunteer cashiers greet customers, keep the sales floor organized, and ring up sales on the Square. Volunteer sorters clean, sort, hang, and price the items that are donated.

This volunteer position might be the right fit for you if...

* You see a pile of items and are energized at the thought of getting to the bottom of it.
* For you, everything has a place....and it it satisfying to see it there.
* You like keeping busy and taking initiative in tackling projects.
* You like the challenge of creating order out of chaos.
* You are comfortable standing for periods of time and working with your hands.

In this position, you will:

* Maintain order and organization in your area of the back sorting room
* Keep active and moving.
* Make new friends that you will get to see as often as you volunteer.
* Become knowledgeable about different products as to what sells and does not sell.
* Support the compassionate services offered by Bridgehaven before, during and after pregnancy.
