Summit Schools

Summit Schools is an independent, nonprofit, private PreK-middle school in Cedar Rapids. Summit is committed to preparing our students to work in an evolving, information-centered, global community of the 21st century. We believe children can affect positive change in the broader world. Our vision is to empower individuals to succeed in the global community by fostering critical thinking, problem solving, and creativity both independently and collaboratively.

Summit's goal is to meet each child at his/her current academic level and progress from this point. Teachers, parents, and students collaborate to develop personalized Student Growth Plans tailored to help each student meet academic, social, and emotional goals. While Summit offers a traditional school-year education, we also provide quality programming that is open to the public, such as Summer Camps, Learning Extensions Camps (in-service day camps), tutoring, free coding activities, and more!
